- This hub is for : Recraft generate, mockup, and raster downloads for shops or social.
- Not for : Pixelcut background-remove exports - clean those as their own files.
Why Recraft listings pick up AI tags
Recraft is built for mockups and print-ready stills. Downloads often include software XMP. Etsy and Instagram read the bitmap you upload, not the Recraft canvas or a brand-kit preview. A listing that looks “print ready” in the editor can still carry Recraft software strings in the file you send to the shop.
Pixelcut is a different export. If you Recraft the art then Pixelcut the background, strip the last raster you actually upload. Etsy variation photos are separate ingest events - one cleaned hero does not cover the rest of the SKU set.
Marketplace AI flags on this path are often file metadata: Recraft XMP, optional C2PA, EXIF software strings. Policy and classifiers are a different problem. Strip the Recraft raster you will list, rename if the filename still says mockup, then upload those bytes. A board screenshot drops tags but blurs print type - use Recraft’s download.
What Recraft often writes
- XMP software fields on mockup and generate exports
- EXIF Software naming Recraft
- Optional C2PA on some raster paths
- Default filenames that mention Recraft
- Recraft & Pixelcut listing guide
- Etsy listing hub
Recraft vs Krea vs Pixelcut
Recraft is mockups and listing rasters. Krea is generate/enhance stills for social, not shop mockup boards. Pixelcut is background-remove and listing cutouts after (or instead of) Recraft. Same strip step, three files. If the download came from Krea enhance, use the Krea hub. If the last step was Pixelcut, strip the Pixelcut file - this page will not magically clean a file Recraft no longer owns.
POD sellers often Recraft a mockup, flatten type in Canva, then upload to Etsy and repost a crop on Instagram. Each flatten can add another credential. Clean the final bitmap for the shop; if the Instagram crop is a new export, strip that crop too. Do not mix Krea enhance dumps into a Recraft SKU batch.
Recommended workflow
Run this on every Recraft raster in the SKU set, not only the hero. Optional checker first. After strip, keep one upload-ready copy per variation. If Etsy or Shopify re-exports on draft save, checker the bytes the shop ingested. Flatten SVG to PNG/JPG before this tool. Cross-post to Instagram only when bytes still match the shop master.
- Inspect first: AI metadata checker .
- Export the Recraft raster for the SKU
- Optional checker
- Strip C2PA/XMP/EXIF in the browser
- Keep an upload-ready copy per SKU
- Upload that master to Etsy; reuse on Instagram if bytes match
Batch up to 30 listing stills per session. Keep Pixelcut and Krea files in other folders.
SKU sets, Etsy re-export, and Instagram crops
A Recraft SKU is rarely one file. Hero, lifestyle mockup, and size-chart stills are separate uploads. Strip every raster you will list, not only the cover. Etsy’s listing tools sometimes re-export when you replace a photo - compare checker results on the bytes the shop ingested, not the file you meant to send yesterday.
Instagram product posts can reuse the same cleaned master when bytes match. A square crop or a new Recraft aspect ratio is a new file. Keep Recraft SKUs in a shop folder. SVG and vector boards must be flattened to PNG/JPG before this tool; it is a raster cleaner, not a vector editor.
POD shops also send the same Recraft art to Instagram shopping and Pinterest. One cleaned master is enough only while bytes stay identical. A marketplace draft that recompresses on save is a new ingest - strip that export if you downloaded it back. Print PDFs stay out of scope; flatten to a bitmap, then run this pass on the JPG/PNG you will actually upload. Rename after strip if the filename still says recraft, mockup, or a style preset.
- Every variation still is its own ingest - batch the SKU set
- If Etsy re-exports, strip the file the shop actually holds
- Instagram crop ≠ shop hero unless bytes are identical
- Flatten SVG to PNG/JPG before strip
Clean this file before you upload
Strip C2PA and XMP in your browser, then publish the cleaned copy.

What this tool removes
On Recraft listing rasters this is a container pass: software XMP, EXIF strings, optional C2PA, and PNG text on PNG mockups. Pixels, mockup lighting, and type stay. It does not flatten SVG or rewrite Etsy listing copy.
- XMP generation and software metadata
- C2PA / JUMBF when present
- EXIF software strings
- PNG text chunks on PNG mockups
Does not remove pixel watermarks. See disclaimer .
Creator scenarios
POD sellers usually Recraft a mockup, maybe overlay type, then send the same art to Etsy and a cropped Instagram product post. Treat each Recraft download and each flatten as its own file. Variation thumbnails are not covered by a cleaned hero.
- POD mockups from Recraft to Etsy
- Same cleaned master as an Instagram product post
- Recraft then Canva type - clean the flat export
- Batch a week of SKUs, 30 files per session
Pixelcut, Krea, and Recraft in the same Downloads folder
Recraft writes mockups and print stills. Pixelcut writes a different listing raster after background work. Krea enhance dumps are a third stack. If all three sit in Downloads, strip the last file you will upload - not an earlier Recraft PNG you already replaced. Name folders by tool before a 30-file batch.
Do not screenshot the Recraft board for print type. After Pixelcut, strip that Pixelcut file separately. After Canva type on a Recraft mockup, strip the flat export again.
- Strip the Recraft raster you will list, not the editor preview
- After Pixelcut, strip that Pixelcut file separately
- Keep Krea enhance files out of Recraft batches
- Rename if the filename still says recraft or mockup
- Canva type on a Recraft mockup needs a second strip
Etsy drafts, Shopify, and Instagram product crops
Etsy listing tools sometimes re-export when you replace a photo or save a draft. Compare checker results on the bytes the shop ingested. Shopify and Amazon follow the same idea: the marketplace copy may not be the Recraft download you stripped yesterday.
One cleaned master can feed Etsy and Instagram when bytes match. A square crop, a new Recraft aspect ratio, or a Later/Buffer pull from an old cloud folder is a new ingest. This tool is a raster cleaner, not a vector editor - flatten SVG before you arrive here.
- If Etsy re-exports, strip the file the shop actually holds
- Instagram crop ≠ shop hero unless bytes are identical
- Strip before Later/Buffer ingest
- Brand-kit re-exports need a new strip
If a shop flag remains
Confirm the marketplace ingested your cleaned bytes. Some listing tools re-export when you replace a photo or save a draft. If the checker is clean on the file on disk, remaining flags may be policy, a classifier, or a different variation still you did not strip - not leftover Recraft XMP on the hero.
Instagram product posts that use a square crop from a third app are a second ingest. Check that crop independently if the shop listing looks clean but the social post does not. A variation thumbnail you never stripped can flag the whole SKU set even when the hero is clean.
Shopify, Amazon, and Pinterest follow the same bytes rule as Etsy. If the marketplace re-compresses on save, download the live listing image and checker it - that copy may not be the Recraft PNG you stripped yesterday. Brand-kit color refreshes that re-export mockups need a new strip even when the board looks unchanged.
Print PDFs stay out of scope. Flatten to PNG/JPG, then strip the bitmap you will actually upload. Do not screenshot the Recraft board for type. Keep Krea enhance dumps and Pixelcut cutouts in other folders so a 30-file Recraft batch stays one generator.
FAQ
Does Recraft embed C2PA or XMP in mockup downloads?
Recraft vector/raster exports and mockup downloads can carry XMP software tags, EXIF naming Recraft, and on some paths C2PA. Etsy, Instagram, and Pinterest read the listing still you upload - not the Recraft editor state.
Is Recraft the same hub as Pixelcut?
No. This page is Recraft generate/mockup rasters. Pixelcut background/listing exports are a different tool. The scenario blog covers both; clean the file from the app that wrote it.
Does each Etsy variation photo need its own strip?
Yes if each variation is a separate Recraft export. A cleaned hero does not clean thumbnail_2.png. Batch the SKU stills you will actually upload, up to 30 per session.
Batch-clean Recraft SKUs for a shop week?
Yes - up to 30 JPG/PNG per session. Strip every Recraft listing still before Etsy or Instagram.
Screenshot the Recraft board instead?
Screenshots drop tags but blur print type. Download Recraft’s raster, then strip.
Recraft then Canva text overlay?
Clean the final flat export. Canva can add another credential on the Recraft download.
SVG vs PNG from Recraft?
This tool is for raster stills (JPG/PNG/WebP) you will upload to shops or Instagram. Flatten to PNG/JPG first if the listing needs a bitmap.
Does this remove pixel watermarks?
No - file metadata only. See the disclaimer.
Label remains after a clean checker?
Re-check the bytes you uploaded to Etsy or Instagram. Marketplaces sometimes recompress; compare with your cleaned master.
Recraft print or brand-kit export vs mockup PNG?
Treat each Recraft download as a new file. A print PDF is out of scope here. Flatten print boards to PNG/JPG for the shop or Instagram, then strip that bitmap. Brand-kit refreshes that re-export mockups need a new strip.
Same cleaned file for Etsy and Instagram?
Yes, if bytes match. Strip once, then upload that master to both.
Recraft mockup then Pixelcut background - which file?
Strip the last raster you will upload. Recraft writes the mockup; Pixelcut writes another listing still after cutout. If Etsy’s listing tool re-exports, check the bytes the shop ingested.
Shopify or Amazon listing from the same Recraft mockup?
Yes if bytes match. Strip once, then upload that master. A marketplace that re-compresses on ingest needs a checker pass on the file you actually sent.
Should I rename Recraft filenames?
Yes after strip if the name still says recraft or mockup. Filenames are a weak extra signal; shops still read XMP/C2PA inside the file.
Recraft then Krea enhance - which hub?
Strip the last export. Recraft mockups belong here; a later Krea enhance is a Krea file. Do not mix both into one Etsy batch.
Later/Buffer for Recraft Instagram posts?
Strip before the scheduler slot. A cloud copy of the Recraft mockup is not the cleaned master on disk.
